At the Tonmeistertagung N&M will present the practical use of audio systems

The audio engineer conference will be held from November 13 - 16 in the "Congress Centre Leipzig". The international technical congress with exhibits of the Association of German sound engineers (VDT) always comes up with a program of lectures and events which enjoys an excellent reputation in the technical world. The congress centre with its superb technical equipping offers the top-class program with lectures, round tables, poster sessions, seminars, workshops and a multiplicity of other events, an established source of background information and practical challenges. Especially in the workshops, in addition to practical work, hearing and seeing stands in the foreground.

Even in the anniversary year – Tonmeistertagung will be held for the 25th time in 2008 - Neumann&Müller will contribute to the congress program with a workshop. Using the example of the N&M production "Domstufen-Festspiele in Erfurt 2008" graduate engineer Sebastian Schaffrath will explain the conception, planning and implementation of an audio design on November 15 at 4:30 P.M. in hall 1. The topics of flexibility, operational safety and monitoring options play a central role here. In the lecture, special production requirements will be explained, solution approaches presented and their implementation discussed.

The focus thereby is on the utilized audio system with system design, setup and signal processing. The areas of wireless technology, in-ear monitoring and communication will also be presented in the framework of the production. The challenges which arose in the planning and production process in the technical equipping of the "Martin L" premiere are just as much a part of the contents as a forecast of future opportunities for the realization of high-quality audio system projects.

At the conclusion of the lecture, there will be an opportunity for discussion with the participating production engineers and for a sharing of experiences at the "N&M coffee bar".
