Callum and Sajid

12th November 2020

Our #troubleshooters – Our Site Manager Callum from England, and our Site Supervisor Sajid from Pkistan are the next members of our weekly #MeetTheTeam edition.

While working with N&M since 2016, Callum has contributed to the success of many projects in the United Arab Emirates and Europe, including the EXPO 2017 in Ukraine. As Site Manager, he is our man for managing the implementation of AVL systems while skillfully coordinates the work of consultants and contractors to ensure smooth cooperation. Due to his excellent know-how in System Integration, he also understands how to realize designers' wishes for special lighting effects and incorporate them seamlessly into the exhibition. His multi-cultural team is supported by Sajid, working as a Site Supervisor since 2019. With 21 years of experience in exhibitions and maintenance, Sajid is the first point of contact for all our engineers on site. Whether he is assigning tasks and reviewing the work of the engineers, explaining construction-related drawings, or handling the electrical work – Sajid always maintains the engineers' safety on-site and guides them whenever they face any kind of problem.

Four questions to Callum and Sajid:

  • What is your personal EXPO highlight so far?
Callum: Since EXPO 2020 has been talked about for so many years, it is great to be involved in such an exceptional Event!
  • What do you like the most about working at N&M?
Sajid: Besides the great management style, I’ve had the chance to expand my knowledge in so many ways and got the opportunity to upskill myself with several certifications (e.g. firefighter, first aid)
  • What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to?
Callum: I have an interest in continuously expanding my skillset to different disciplines. I learnt audio recording at high school, then moved onto stage lighting at college, before gaining an interest in video since I've been in the UAE. This has given me a broad skill set, which is my strength.
  • What energizes you at work?
Sajid: I walk around 16,000 steps every day – This definitely keeps me energized
