Citizens’ Festival and “Day of Insights and Outlooks”

To mark the 75th anniversary of the constitution of the first German Bundestag, the German Bundestag …

… organised a large citizens’ festival in the parliamentary district around the Reichstag building on 6th and 7th September 2024.

The German Bundestag commissioned the Compact Team GmbH agency to design and organise the celebrations. We took on the technical equipment and realisation of the two-day festival as a subcontractor.

75 years of history of ‘Bonn’ and ‘Berlin’ Republics were thematised and current issues and future challenges of parliamentarianism were highlighted. A varied programme took place on the main stage on Friedrich-Ebert-Platz and extended across the outdoor area of the Paul Löbe House and the banks of the Spree.

We were responsible for the smooth technical organisation of the two-day event. The citizens’ festival included an elaborate infrastructure, including an extensive festival stage at the foot of the Reichstag building. Our work focussed on the complete technical support, including sound, lighting, video, rigging, stage construction and the power supply for the entire site.We also installed 4×8 metre LED walls on the main stage, which brought the stage action even closer to the audience.

The anniversary celebrations offered us a great opportunity to contribute our know-how and expertise as a technical service provider. Being part of this important project and being able to actively support and represent our democratic values was of great importance to us.
