Summer Concert of the NRW State Government

…open-air stage for the traditional summer concert of the NRW state government. This year, the concert was integrated into the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) Day celebrations for the first time, which took place in Cologne on 17^th and 18^th August 2024. Themed “Umsonst und draußen” (Free and Outside), the audience enjoyed a varied program presented by the Northwest German Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Frank Beermann. The 78 musicians thrilled the audience with a rousing repertoire that included well-known movie soundtracks as well as famous opera arias.

The State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia was responsible for organising the event and once again relied on our proven collaboration for the technical implementation. Our tasks included rigging, lighting and audio as well as the orchestra podium. Despite a sporty set-up time of three days and two days for configuration and rehearsals, we were able to realise this highlight in the centre of Cologne without a hitch as part of the state’s birthday celebrations.
