Branch Relocation to Filderstadt
Relocating Branch Office to Filderstadt Strengthens Collaboration
By relocating from Neuhausen to Filderstadt, Neumann & Müller Veranstaltungstechnik (N&M) is aiming to achieve even tighter intermeshing of its specialist disciplines. Bringing employees closer together will improve communications, pool expertise and also open up opportunities for more direct contact with clients at the location. The new building has a whole host of benefits to offer in this regard.
“Altogether under one roof”: that was the main idea behind the relocation of N&M’s branch office from Neuhausen to Filderstadt. In January around 100 employees moved into the new offices plus large storage space at Industriestrasse 8. The Event, Trade Fair and Venue Services business units will now all be working next-door to each other, as will the technical crew and teams from equipment booking, transport logistics, procurement, marketing, accounting and other specialist units.
As Matthias Rupieper, head of the Trade Fair business unit explains: “Being so close to one another will make it easier for colleagues to share information and directly access each other’s know-how. The idea here is to create more space for the development of technical and creative solutions.” He also emphasised the fact that Filderstadt is only a stone’s throw away from Stuttgart’s trade fair centre. In addition to over 1,000 m² of office space, there is also a 2,000 m² storage area, which provides ample space for all equipment. GO development GmbH, N&M’s subsidiary specialising in custom constructions, will also be sharing the new premises and will benefit from being close to the company’s other units.
The hub of the new building is a large space that is already known by everyone as the “Central Marketplace.” It can be used for presentations and workshops as well as for setting up test constructions. Presenting creative concepts and technical products in use, talking about the results and taking solutions forward: that is exactly what the Marketplace was created for. “The best ideas are born when teams can see, hear and inspire each other,” says Yvonne Schwarz, head of N&M’s Event Stuttgart business.
But for her, it’s not just a matter of encouraging creativity and communication among colleagues: “The Marketplace gives us a great opportunity to integrate our clients and partners during an even earlier phase of the creation process. This could be in the form of workshops, product presentations or specific client events.” The first event being planned by the N&M team at the new location in Filderstadt is a housewarming party for clients and partners.
