Fendt, a manufacturer of tractors and agricultural machinery, chose the simple claim “For the best job in the world” for the launch of its new generation of the “Vario 200”. At the beginning of October, this slogan also served as inspiration for us when we were engaged to realise the presentation of the new series of tractors, a virtual dealer principal meeting – a gathering of all European Fendt dealers – as well as the annual press conference.

At the “Fendt Forum” in Marktoberdorf we helped to make the premiere of the new “Vario 200” a success after the event had been reorganised at short notice into a Digital-Live-Event as a consequence of the corona pandemic. In addition to audio, lighting, video and rigging, we also planned and realised the use of appropriate conference equipment for both days of the event. The virtual dealer meeting was streamed throughout Europe in seven languages. There was also a live link to the United States. For the interpreters, we installed technical systems in 14 booths on site to ensure trouble-free audio routing. Five cameras and a twelve-meter camera crane were deployed to capture the live pictures in the Forum. Before the event, our Digital Media team produced the additional content incorporated into the presentations; the team was also responsible for post-production.

Following the digital segment, the press conference was held in hybrid format: 20 journalists were present in Marktoberdorf while other members of the international media – for whom the press conference was translated into eight languages – joined in online. The basis for this sophisticated set-up was formed by an optimal network infrastructure designed in advance and continuously monitored during the event by the N&M sub-brand Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
