IGVW - Together for Better Industry Standards

The Entertainment Technology Industry Association – known by its German abbreviation of IGVW – has been representing the associations in the event industry and their interests since 2006. The goal of the IGVW is to consolidate the positions of its members on key topics in the sector and represent them in public. The IGVW is also responsible for promoting quality and safety standards within the event industry. To this end, members not only communicate with one another but also with German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) institutions, the Safety Engineers Working Group (AKSi) of the ARD and ZDF TV networks and the Network of Occupational Safety Specialists (SiFa.VT). The result of this collaboration is "Standards of Quality" (SQ) that apply to the whole sector.

We see our membership in the IGVW as an important contribution to achieving the association's aims and therefore supporting the industry as a whole. The standards already created and introduced by the IGVW (e.g. SQQ2 Rigging) represent fundamental elements of vocational and continued training at N&M, which ensures that our team is perfectly trained when it comes to implementing projects.

Furthermore, our active participation allows us to communicate with other members – for example fwd: - Bundesvereinigung Veranstaltungswirtschaft (National Event Industry Association), the VPLT (Media and Event Technology Association) or the EVVC (European Event Centre Association). This enables us to contribute to the ongoing development of industry standards.
