ICM - International Congress Center Messe München

ICM – International Congress Center Messe München

Thanks to its highly variable spaces and divisible rooms, the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München is extremely versatile. Perfect room solutions and state-of-the-art media technology are available to event planners for congresses, conferences and corporate events on site at the exhibition centre in the east of Munich: a total of 20 rooms ranging in size from 60 to 2,730 m², plus 7,000 m² of exhibition space and 27 conference offices that can be used as back-offices or break-out rooms.

The architecture and design of the ICM display a timelessly elegant ambience; ample daylight and the premium fittings create an atmosphere that contributes a great deal to the success of congresses and events. Multifunctional building and stage technology combined with first-class technical equipment support conference holders and professional congress organisers in the implementation of their unique event ideas. What's more, there is a direct link from ICM to Exhibition Hall C1, two permanent catering areas plus direct access to the exhibition centre restaurant. The venue also has a comprehensive safety concept.

Summary of larger halls and spaces at ICM

Visitors reach the ground-level rooms of the ICM via the Foyer with its natural stone floors and the entrance points with their star-shaped layout. Covering almost 5,000 m², the foyer can be divided up to create a dedicated, exclusive reception area for smaller events.

Saal 1 with auditorium, orchestra pit, tiered seating and a stage measuring 277 m² is ideal for opening events, as a main stage for congresses and for other stage-based formats. Measuring 1,300 m², Saal 1 seats 1,430 people; every second row of seats can be converted into desks thus creating 750 classroom seats. A catwalk can be added to the height-adjustable stage, while the 14-by-15-metre screen provides a projection surface similar to that of a cinema.

Hall B0 is situated at ground level and has an area of 3,500 m². Its attractive architecture and the exquisite parquet floor make it a wonderful, versatile space for unique productions, shows and gala dinners.

Hall C1 at Messe München is one of Germany's largest pillarless locations and provides 10,000 m² of space. On the first floor it is directly linked to the ICM via a glazed expressway. With three performance areas for stage design and a deluge system, it sets international standards for large-audience events up to 9,000 people. Furnished offices and cloakrooms on the same floor of the building complete the professional setting for large-scale events.

The impressive stairway to the first floor leads to another, light-filled, generously dimensioned foyer. Measuring 1,500 m², the divisible space exudes an inviting atmosphere with materials such as the genuine wooden parquet flooring. The central position of the upper foyer at the ICM makes it ideal for exhibitions and banquettes and the perfect setting for a bar or break area. It has display surfaces for digital signage as well as a PA system that reaches every corner of the room.
