Harman develops and produces connected products and audio solutions for consumers, the automotive sector and enterprises. In Sendlinger Strasse in the heart of Munich's pedestrian zone, Harman's first flagship store in Europe shows how the enterprise's tradition merges with innovation. The store features a modern, dynamic design and a glass facade measuring over 30 metres in length. The goods presented cover audio products from JBL, Harman Kardon and AKG; including headphones, portable and voice-controlled loudspeakers, and sound bars. The automotive audio division is represented by a rotating selection of vehicles equipped with the latest in-dash technologies and sound systems from the Harman portfolio.
The floor space of the Experience Store has been designed so that it can be converted for use for various types of events - concerts, parties and presentations for example, in addition to automotive events. Store elements can be moved around and the digital displays can be changed. The LEDs on the ceiling can change colour to create a range of different moods.
We prepared the audio, lighting and media technology for deployment in the flagship store and installed it while construction work was still in progress. In addition to this work, we also set up mobile and temporary systems for the official opening event and made sure that everything ran smoothly. We used lighting consoles from the grandMA range to control the light in day-to-day operations as well as to manage the DAL/EBI-controlled architectural lighting at this event. The presentation underlines Harman's aim of being a dynamic showcase for world famous audio brands and establishing contact with consumers.
