Not only conventional but also digital marketplaces need to attract public attention when they are launched - especially when celebrities like Nena and Rea Garvey are co-founders. Green Window is "the first Internet-based green sales and information platform for all areas of life and all consumers". At its launch at the "Malzfabrik" in Berlin, the two stars and their partners underlined the goals of their commitment: "Only a green marketplace that is easily accessible for all consumers and manufacturers can help sustainable consumption achieve a breakthrough." From fashion, cosmetics and food through to furnishings - "Green Window" aims to do more than merely present products and services that are ecologically better than average comparable products: "Unlike a normal online shop, we offer companies the opportunity of jointly creating green products," says Marco Voigt, the initiator of the project and co-initiator of the "GreenTec Awards", the world's major environmental award.
We have been involved in the "GreenTec Awards" since their inception, whereby we not only support the gala ceremony of the "Environment Oscars" for sustainable projects and initiatives as a sponsor but also contribute our expertise in sustainability as a member of the jury. That is why it was perfectly logical to us that we should provide the right setting from the event technology point of view for the introduction of the new "Green Window" initiative by managing all technical aspects of the launch event. Rather than putting on a show for the initial ceremony, we created a quiet atmosphere in which guests, the media and the initiators could chat and exchange ideas and impressions.
